starting the transformation

Who am I is a question I never asked myself until lately. I had been doing soul searching ever since my best friend went home to our creator.

I am a child of God. My physical body is the temple of the Holy Trinity – God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit. I am a work in progress. I make mistakes. I make good decisions. I have overflowing kindness. I am humble, compassionate and forgiving. I have feelings of frustrations and disappointments. I am happy. I am peaceful inside.

I have received gifts that I call talents. Those gifts are skills I used to earn a living. I retired as an Accountant for the health care industry. I love paperwork. I write short stories and poems in my spare time. I love tending my potted plants in front of our home. I love listening to music. My favorites are Hawaiian music and oldies especially the beautiful voice belonging to Patsy Cline. I have traveled and visited many places. I can honestly say I have enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation.

I have been labeled “JESUS CREEP”, a description that I gladly accept. I have been told I am an angel without wings (yet). Some people tell me I am crazy. I love to see other people happy and successful. I feel God had given me privileges to become stronger.

I am also a licensed amateur (ham) radio operator, a hobby I picked up and placed in the shelf for now. My call sign issued by the FCC in June 1998 is kh7mi. I am EXTRA CLASS and enjoyed the times I spent practicing to receive and send messages using morse code (CW).

Going forward, I will share the ups and downs of my life dealing with dementia, chronic kidney disease, kidney transplant, diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke. The ups and downs in life gave me practical information about how to live within the budget and where to get help when the need arises.

I hope the future posts can lighten your load, ease some frustrations and give you inspiration.

I hope you will come back again for a visit.
